Rain Plan

The Mendham Borough Day Camp is still open on rainy days. Check the weather in the morning.  We rely on BAND and our Facebook page to help us communicate any changes in plans.  Please sign up for updates!

In the event that the day starts off with storms or storms are in the forecast, camp may be held indoors. Please check BAND, Facebook, Instagram, or call the carriage house to listen to the automated voice message to find out if camp will be held indoors. We do our best to make the call by 8am each morning, however, situations may arise causing the decision to be made later in the morning. Indoor locations will be St. Marks for K-3 and the Garabrant Center for grades 4-6. Alternate events and activities will be held in these locations including but not limited to board games, crafts, and movies.

If our day has started, and there is a passing non-thunder/lightning situation, the activities will remain at Borough Park. Temporary shelter areas are provided and children are welcome to "get wet.” It is the guardian's decision to allow their child to participate.

**If a thunder / lightning / sustained rain develops, children will need to be picked up from camp for safety reasons.  A BAND notification alert will be sent, Facebook and Instagram will be updated, and a message will be left on the Carriage House answer machine.**
