News & Announcements

Borough Offices Open Tomorrow

Release Date: March 04, 2018

Sunday afternoon meeting with Borough Administrator Joyce Bushman, Police Chief John Camoia, Fire Chief Mike Michael Bruin and OEM Coordinator Nick Witczak to review status of storm damage. Full restoration to all Northern New Jersey JCPL customers by Tuesday March 6. JCPL crews are in Mendham Borough today repairing damage. Borough Administrative offices will be OPENED this week. School officials will announce school status this afternoon. Mendham Fire and First Aid will have teams at Fire house ready to respond to any calls and address tripped alarms when electricity comes back up. STAY CLEAR of downed wires. As Borough residents we are all experiencing the same frustrations you are and are doing all we can do from our local level to get through all of this as quickly as possible. The question was raised during our meeting today: Why didn’t Governor Murphy declare a state of emergency for effected sections of the state? It would have given local and county OEM officials some more flexibility to handle the situation.
